GITEX Nigeria to Boost Nation's Digital Transformation and AI Ambitions

GITEX Nigeria is set to amplify the nation's digital transformation ambitions with its second edition, scheduled to take place from August 31 to September 3, 2026. This major tech, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and startup event will span across Abuja and Lagos, highlighting Nigeria's progress from aspiration to tangible action in the digital realm.

Themed 'Beyond Connectivity, The Bridge to Sovereign Innovation,' the event underscores Nigeria's drive to solidify its standing as a premier market for AI and digital economy growth within Africa. Under the patronage of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and with support from the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, alongside the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), GITEX Nigeria is poised to showcase the country's advancements.

The Lagos State Government has endorsed the event, which is organized by KAOUN International, the global facilitator of GITEX events. This collaboration signifies a unified effort to propel Nigeria's national digital transformation agenda forward. The event occurs as Nigeria implements landmark reforms designed to translate forward-thinking policies into measurable outcomes.

A key focus will be the nation's efforts to address the growing demand for digital skills and expand its talent base through initiatives like the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program.
