Giuseppe Conte is charting an ambitious course for the upcoming political season, aiming to cement his leadership of the Five Star Movement and position himself as a key contender for prime minister. His packed schedule, extending through September, is designed to showcase his institutional appeal and outline an "agenda" for the country.

Conte's strategy involves a multi-pronged approach. He will continue promoting his book, "Una nuova primavera," and will participate in significant commemorative events, such as the anniversary of the Sant'Anna di Stazzema massacre. A pivotal moment will be his address at the Ambrosetti Forum in Cernobbio on September 6, where he will join other opposition leaders, including PD secretary Elly Schlein. This is intended to signal a united front for the center-left ahead of the 2027 general election and discussions on electoral law reform.

The "lawyer of the people" will also lead the Five Star Movement's own convention, Nova, in Milan, where party members will vote on a program to be presented to allies.

He continues to face questions regarding his alleged role in negotiations for the sale of the Grand Hotel Plaza, linked to his partner Olivia Paladino's family. Paolo Zampolli, who has previously commented on the matter, reiterated that he discussed the hotel sale with Conte, adding another layer of complexity to the leader's busy agenda.
