According to Borussia's sporting director, Rouven Schröder, Hashioka was immediately attended to and stabilized on the field due to the severity of his neck pain. The collision occurred when Hashioka clashed with Leipzig's Antonio Nusa following a cross. Nusa was cautioned with a yellow card for the challenge. The incident cast a shadow over the match, highlighting the physical risks involved in professional football.
