Global Crusade with Kumuyi to offer free medical aid in Ogun West

Ogun West in Nigeria is set to host the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) from August 26 to 30, an event that blends spiritual evangelism with significant humanitarian and medical outreach. Organizers announced that the crusade, themed “Total Transformation Through Christ,” will offer free medical services, surgeries, and humanitarian aid, extending its impact beyond the central religious gathering.

The crusade will take place daily at 5 pm at the Anglican Church Grammar School, Abebi, Ota. It is jointly hosted by the Christian Association of Nigeria (Ogun West chapter), the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (Ogun West chapter), and the Deeper Christian Life Ministry. Pastor Joseph Fasanmi, Ogun West Overseer, highlighted the event's aim to foster transformation in individuals, families, and communities through Christian faith, addressing contemporary issues.

"Our nation, like many nations of the world, is passing through challenging times. Families desire stability. Young people seek purpose. Communities yearn for peace. Businesses look for renewed confidence," Fasanmi stated. "The greatest transformation any society can experience is the transformation of its people." The crusade is expected to draw residents from five local government areas: Ado-Odo/Ota, Yewa South, Yewa North, Ipokia, and Imeko-Afon, welcoming participants regardless of denomination, social status, or religious background.

In addition to the main five-day event, a series of preparatory activities are scheduled. These include a maternal and child health outreach on August 23 and medical outreaches on August 24 and 25, offering free consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and medication. These health interventions aim to provide essential care to mothers, children, and other residents in need of medical and surgical attention.
