Nigerian music superstar Wizkid is set to headline the opening night of the 2026 Detty December Fest in Lagos, marking a significant kickoff for the annual festive celebration.

Organizers Livespot360 announced the Grammy winner's participation via their official Instagram page on Thursday. The festival itself is scheduled to span 13 days, from December 18 to December 30, promising a vibrant showcase of music, culture, and creativity across two stages.

The grand opening concert, featuring Wizkid, is slated for Friday, December 18, at the Detty December Village in Lagos. Organizers have billed the event as the official commencement of the "Detty December" season, anticipating widespread online buzz and encouraging attendees to be part of the experience.

For those eager to attend, ticket prices have been released. General Access tickets are priced at N50,000, offering entry to music performances, food courts, and the marketplace. VIP Standing tickets are available for N300,000, granting access to a dedicated standing area near the bars, though seating is not included.
