Goalkeeper Vozinha Nears Chile Move to Join Colo Colo

Colo Colo is anticipating the arrival of Vozinha, the 40-year-old goalkeeper who captured global attention for his performances with Cape Verde at the World Cup. His exceptional play earned him a spot on FIFA's ideal team for the tournament.

Aníbal Mosa, president of Blanco y Negro, the company that manages Colo Colo, confirmed the agreement with the veteran goalkeeper. Vozinha is set to become a reinforcement for the team under the management of coach Fernando Ortiz.

According to Cooperativa Deportes, Vozinha is scheduled to arrive in Chile this Tuesday. Upon arrival, he will undergo rigorous medical examinations and complete the necessary administrative procedures before officially signing his contract with the "albo" club. Once cleared by the medical evaluations, the goalkeeper will be presented to the public and will integrate into the team's training sessions.

Vozinha will compete for the starting goalkeeper position with Gabriel Maureira. Maureira has been filling in since the injury of the team's primary goalkeeper, Fernando de Paul.
