Gods Descend Exhibition: National Palace Museum Treasures Meet Hakka Faith

An exhibition that merges Taiwan's national treasures with Hakka cultural and religious beliefs has opened its doors. Titled "When Gods Descend - The Hakka People's Reverence for Heaven and Earth," the event is a collaboration between the National Palace Museum and the Hakka Affairs Council's Hakka Development Center.

The exhibition was inaugurated with a ceremony at the Taiwan Hakka Culture Museum. Among those present were Hakka Affairs Council Minister Chung Kuei-mei and National Palace Museum Director Hsiao Tsung-huang. The event aims to showcase the deep-rooted connection between the Hakka people and their spiritual world, using artifacts to illustrate their traditions and faith.

This joint initiative highlights the rich cultural heritage of the Hakka community and its integration with significant historical artifacts. The exhibition is expected to draw visitors interested in Taiwanese culture, history, and religious practices.
