Taiwanese pop diva Jolin Tsai, known as "Jolin" Tsai, emotionally accepted her second Golden Melody Award for Best Mandarin Female Singer on Saturday, 19 years after her initial win in the category. Her album "Pleasure" secured her the prestigious award, triumphing over strong competition from artists like Hong Pei-yu and Peng Jia-hui.

She shared that while she felt less nervous on stage compared to her previous win, seeing other talented musicians inspired her to strive for more. Tsai described her performance approach as a continuous drafting process, infusing her beliefs, choices, and values into her work. She emphasized the significance of her music empowering her fans when they recall her songs.

I felt much less nervous than last time standing on the Golden Melody stage again. Seeing many excellent musicians, I feel I still have much more to work on.

Tsai extended her gratitude to her creative team and devoted fans, affectionately calling them her "ash fans." She thanked her collaborators for supporting her imaginative ideas and acknowledged the "nobles" who guided her throughout her career. "Thank you to all the partners behind me who listen to my wild ideas, thank you to all the benefactors along the way, and my ash fans, even though there has been a lot of noise along the way, I encourage myself to use it all as paintbrushes to create my own landscape," she said.

I feel my performance is like constantly drafting, putting my beliefs, choices, and values into my work through every performance. If my fans can firmly remember it, and gain strength when they think of my songs, that is very important to me.
