"Golf boom" on the national team: – They are completely wild

Golf has become an unexpected passion for the Norwegian national football team, with players embracing the sport during their stay at the luxurious Greenover Resort. The resort, equipped with two fine golf courses, provided the team with ample opportunity to hone their skills off the pitch.

Goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland, 33, is reportedly the team's top golfer, a skill he has cultivated since childhood. "They are absolutely wild about golf," remarked golfer Kristoffer Reitan, highlighting the team's intense engagement with the sport. Nyland noted that the team members played more rounds during their training camp than they typically do throughout an entire season.

Despite the recreational focus on golf, Nyland emphasized that discipline remained paramount. "On the days leading up to the match, people were very serious," he stated, suggesting that this balance of leisure and focus contributed to their performance. He also mentioned Julian Ryerson as his toughest competitor on the green, adding that their quick games allowed them to avoid long waits.

The team's golf craze even caught the attention of Norway's biggest golf stars, Viktor Hovland and Kristoffer Reitan. Both were present when Norway defeated Senegal 3-2 in a group stage match in New Jersey. Reitan described the experience as "incredibly cool" and a moment of immense national pride.
