Good neighbor, never made noise: neighbor remembers motorcyclist killed in crash

A neighbor fondly remembered Muhammad Hafiz Al Hakim Mazlan, 33, as a good man who never made noise with his Yamaha RXZ motorcycle, despite it being a model known for its sound. Nurul Huda Hariza, who lived next to him for four years in Kampung Cacar Baru, Paka, said he was a kind person who never disturbed the peace.

Al Hakim, who worked as a lorry driver for over a year, was also well-liked by his colleagues for his good nature. His neighbor noted that even though he rode an RXZ, his motorcycle was never loud. Friends often visited his home to repair their RXZ bikes.

Nurul Huda shared the sad news came early in the morning. Her husband received a call around 2:44 a.m. She had briefly dozed off after dinner and woke up around 2 a.m. to browse social media for home repair ideas. Her husband initially hesitated to answer the phone, but she suggested he take the call if it was important, as the caller might have sent a WhatsApp message otherwise.

She later heard a neighbor's car leaving around 2 a.m. and initially thought it was Al Hakim. However, she realized it was his wife leaving after receiving the tragic news. Nurul Huda expressed sadness for the couple, especially since they had a child who was just over a year old. The accident tragically claimed the lives of four RXZ motorcyclists and injured a teenage girl.
