Gov Lawal assigns budget portfolio to new commissioner, Zakari

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has appointed Yahaya Abdullahi Zakari as the Commissioner for the Ministry of Budget and Planning. The appointment follows Zakari's swearing-in as a member of the Zamfara State Executive Council on Tuesday.

Governor Lawal has directed the affected Commissioners to assume duty in their respective ministries with immediate effect.

In a related development, Abdulmalik Gajam has been reassigned as the substantive Commissioner for the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, announced these changes, directing the affected commissioners to assume their new duties immediately.

Governor Lawal charged the newly appointed and redeployed commissioners to demonstrate renewed commitment, professionalism, and dedication. He emphasized the importance of effectively delivering government policies and programs in line with the administration's overarching 'Rescue Agenda.'
