Gov Sani, Defence Minister, CAN Hail Tinubu’s Education Reforms as Tool Against Insecurity

Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa, Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) have lauded President Bola Tinubu's education reforms, identifying quality education as a vital tool in combating the nation's security challenges.

When we speak of national defence, the instinct is to focus on boots on the ground, air power or intelligence gathering. However, true and lasting security is anchored on one critical element: the defeat of ignorance and the conquest of hopelessness. This school is a weapon of mass instruction in the right hands.

Their commendations came during the commissioning of the Kaduna Christian Academy, a faith-based institution supported by friends of the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr. Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi. This initiative follows a similar donation of an Islamic school to the Muslim community in May 2025.

The minister urged parents to prioritize education, sharing his own background to illustrate that hard work and education can lead to success. He acknowledged Kaduna State's security improvements through collaborative government efforts and praised Governor Sani's promotion of inclusion and peaceful coexistence. Musa also commended the resilience of Southern Kaduna's residents and warned against divisive elements, stressing that security agencies require citizen support to defeat criminal groups who often rely on local collaborators for information.
