Governor Mutfwang overhauls Plateau security team

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has initiated a significant overhaul of the state's security leadership, aiming to bolster the protection of citizens and educational institutions. The restructuring, announced via a statement from the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau, introduces new leadership for key security initiatives.

Nash Yakubu, a retired brigadier-general with extensive military experience including counter-insurgency operations, has been appointed as the Coordinator of Operation Rainbow, the state's local security outfit. Concurrently, Gakji Goshwe, also a retired brigadier-general, is now the Coordinator of the Safe School Programme. Bala Isandu, a retired major-general with a background in intelligence, has been named Special Adviser on Security to the Governor.

These appointments underscore Governor Mutfwang's commitment to enhancing the state's security framework. The governor expressed confidence in the appointees' ability to leverage their experience and dedication to foster a secure and prosperous Plateau State.
