Governor’s reinstatement of monarch will consolidate peace, say Plateau community leaders

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has reinstated Abdullahi Idris as the Rekna of Bashar, a decision hailed by the Bashar Chiefdom Community Development Association (BACCODA) as a significant step toward consolidating peace and unity.

We, on behalf of the entire people of Bashar Chiefdom, extend our heartfelt commendation to His Excellency, Governor Caleb Mutfwang, for this noble and unifying gesture.

The association described the governor's move as crucial for resolving a long-standing chieftaincy issue and deepening reconciliation within the Bashar Chiefdom and the broader Wase Federal Constituency. In a statement, BACCODA highlighted the reinstatement as a testament to Governor Mutfwang's commitment to justice, grassroots peacebuilding, and the preservation of traditional institutions.
