Göztepe officially announces departure of two footballers

Turkish club Göztepe has officially confirmed the departure of two players as part of its squad planning for the upcoming Trendyol Süper Lig season. Goalkeeper Ekrem Kılıçarslan and Bulgarian midfielder Filip Krastev will not continue with the Izmir-based team.

The club issued a statement thanking Ekrem Kılıçarslan for his services. The 28-year-old goalkeeper spent the previous season on loan at Trendyol 1. Lig team Esenler Erokspor. During his loan spell, he played 30 matches, conceding 39 goals and keeping clean sheets in 6 of those games.

Similarly, Göztepe announced the departure of Filip Krastev. The 24-year-old Bulgarian joined the club in February on loan from Belgian side Lommel SK, with an option to buy. Krastev featured in 11 matches for Göztepe, starting 5 of them. He registered one assist but did not score any goals during his tenure with the team.

Both players were formally thanked by the club for their contributions. Göztepe extended its best wishes to Kılıçarslan and Krastev for the remainder of their football careers.
