GPS allays fears of prospective applicants in ongoing recruitment exercise

The Ghana Police Service has issued an assurance to prospective applicants in its ongoing 2025/2026 recruitment drive, clarifying that individuals awaiting invitations for document validation remain part of the process. The service explained that the validation exercise is proceeding in phases, adhering to the recruitment schedule, and is expected to continue until 2028.

The validation exercise, which was currently underway, was being conducted in phases and would continue until 2028 in line with the service’s recruitment schedule.

According to a statement signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Grace Ansah Akrofi, Director General of Public Affairs, the recruitment is progressing as planned. Successful candidates are being invited sequentially to designated centers for document verification, which includes checking academic certificates, examination results, and other submitted credentials. The first batch of applicants has already undergone this validation process.

The Police Service clarified that applicants who have passed their medical examinations but have not yet received validation invitations are still within the recruitment pool and will be considered in subsequent phases. They appealed for patience, emphasizing that this phased approach is part of the approved recruitment timetable. The service also cautioned the public against misinformation and warned applicants against paying any money to individuals claiming they can influence recruitment.
