The international rap music scene is mourning the loss of award-winning and two-time Grammy-nominated music producer Tay Keith, who died at his apartment in Nashville, Tennessee. Born Brytavious Chambers, Keith was recognized as one of the most influential producers of his generation, credited with introducing a new wave of sound to rap music. His collaborations included work with prominent artists such as Drake, Travis Scott, Future, and Eminem, leaving an indelible mark on the global music landscape.

Chambers, who hailed from Memphis, began his music production journey at age 14. He pursued a degree in integrated studies and media management at Middle Tennessee State University, balancing his studies with his burgeoning career. Their work earned them a spot on Forbes' "30 Under 30 Music" list in 2025.

His first Grammy nomination came in 2019 for "Sicko Mode," followed by a second nomination in 2024 for producing Drake and 21 Savage's "Rich Flex."
