Greece's OPCA to Pay Out Social Benefits and Child Support on July 31

The Hellenic Organization for Social Solidarity (OPCA) is set to release a significant batch of social benefits and aid payments on Friday, July 31. Thousands of beneficiaries are anticipating the funds to be credited to their accounts.

The disbursement includes the third bi-monthly installment of the A21 Child Benefit, covering the May-June period. Eligibility for this payment hinges on the finalization and approval of applications through OPCA's information system. Applications still in temporary storage or incomplete will not be processed for this payment.

Beyond the child benefit, OPCA's July payout encompasses a broad spectrum of social support. This includes the Minimum Guaranteed Income (formerly KEA), Housing Benefit, Birth Benefit, Disability Benefits, and benefits for expatriates and uninsured elderly individuals. Support for funeral expenses, mountainous and disadvantaged areas, and aid for debtors with "red" loans are also part of the package. Additionally, financial assistance for protected children of natural disaster victims, vulnerable debtors, foster care, and a personal assistant program are included. A specific benefit for elderly uninsured members of the Albanian Greek minority is also slated for payment.

Beneficiaries are advised to monitor the progress of their applications via the OPCA electronic platform and gov.gr. Ensuring their application is finalized before the payment date is crucial for receiving the funds.
