Greece to Distribute June Pensions and Benefits Starting May 26

Greece's social security agencies, e-EFKA and OPCA, are set to begin distributing June pensions and various benefits starting the week of May 26. The payments will be staggered to manage the process efficiently.

Main pension payments for former non-salaried funds (OAEΕ, OGA, ETΑΑ) and those established after 2016 via the e-EFKA system will be disbursed on Tuesday, May 26. Supplementary pensions for the private sector will also be paid on the same day. Beneficiaries can access these funds through ATMs starting Monday, May 25.

Payments for former salaried funds (ΙΚΑ-ΕΤΑΜ, banks, OTE, DEI, etc.) and public sector pensions (main and supplementary) are scheduled for Thursday, May 28. These funds will be available in bank accounts on Wednesday, May 27. Additionally, the agency will issue advance pension payments and lump-sum payments for contributions between May 25 and May 29.

The DYPA (Public Employment Service) will distribute unemployment benefits, maternity leave payments, and employment program funds between May 25 and May 29. This includes approximately 15 million euros for unemployment benefits and 12 million euros for subsidized maternity leave. A significant portion, 18 million euros, is allocated for subsidized employment programs.

OPCA will issue its May benefits on Friday, May 29, as the 31st falls on a Sunday. These payments, covering child benefits, housing support, minimum guaranteed income, disability benefits, and more, will be accessible via ATMs on the evening of May 28. The total amount for OPCA benefits is not specified, but it covers a wide range of social and welfare provisions.
