Greek Cup draw sets 11 pairings for second qualifying round

The draw for the initial stages of the Greek Cup, now known as the Superbet Cup, has set the stage for the upcoming season's competition. The event, held at the Athens Marriott Hotel, outlined the matchups for the first and second qualifying rounds. The first qualifying round features a single pairing: Trikala will face AEL Novibet. The competition then moves to the second round, which will consist of 11 knockout matches. Among these, the clash between Anagennisi Karditsas and Aris stands out, presenting a challenging away fixture for the Thessaloniki club. Notably, two matches will pit teams from the Super League against each other. Levadiakos will host Asteras AKTOR, while Kalamata will welcome Panaitolikos. These encounters promise to be closely contested as teams vie for advancement. All matches in this phase are single-leg ties, meaning there will be no replays. In the event of a draw after 90 minutes, the game will proceed directly to a penalty shootout to determine the winner. The 11 successful teams from the second qualifying round will join the five clubs already qualified for European competitions, AEK, Olympiacos, PAOK, Panathinaikos, and OFI, to complete the 16-team lineup for the League Phase of the Superbet Cup.
