Greek ferry companies offer up to 50% discounts for newly appointed teachers

This initiative, a collaboration between the Ministries of Education and Shipping, aims to ease the transition for educators moving to their new posts. The discounts are available for travel between August 23 and September 11, with some companies extending the offer throughout 2026. This move acknowledges the financial and logistical challenges faced by new teachers.

Participating companies include SEAJETS, offering a 50% discount on both passenger and vehicle tickets, valid from August 23 to September 11. Levante Ferries Group also provides a 50% discount for passengers and vehicles during the same period. Saronic Ferries offers a 30% discount on passenger tickets, while Skyros Shipping Co. gives 30% off for both passengers and vehicles for travel within the specified dates.

Other companies like Karthaia N.E. Goutos Lines are offering a 50% discount for passengers and vehicles, valid from August 23 to September 11, and throughout 2026. Fast Ferries provides discounts of 30% for passengers and 20% for vehicles for travel between August 23 and September 11. Golden Star Ferries offers 30% for passengers and 20% for vehicles during the August 23 to September 11 period, subject to availability, for specific routes to the Cyclades islands.
