Greek sports mourn 15-year-old PAOK player's death in road accident

The Greek sports world is in mourning following the tragic death of 15-year-old PAOK football player Anna-Maria Pantazoni. She lost her life in a road accident on Friday, July 10.

The news of the young athlete's death has sent ripples of deep sadness throughout the Greek sports community. Several organizations, including AEK Amateur, Aris, the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO), and Panathinaikos B.C., have issued statements expressing their condolences.

The Hellenic Football Federation's president Makis Gagatsis, Executive Secretary Domna Tsioni, and Executive Committee members conveyed their "deepest sorrow and sincere condolences for the unforeseen loss of the 15-year-old PAOK athlete, Anna-Maria Pantazoni." They noted that the premature loss of a child taking her first steps in football, with dreams and aspirations for the future, has shaken the entire football family. Panathinaikos B.C. also offered condolences and strength to her family.
