Greek Tax Agency Simplifies 2026 Single Subsidy Application Process

The Greek Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) is implementing significant simplifications to the 2026 Single Subsidy Application (EAE) process, utilizing the myAGRO digital platform. These changes are designed to resolve issues and address queries from agricultural producers and submission entities, making the system more user-friendly.

The reforms encompass several key areas, including authorizations, IBAN (International Bank Account Number) declarations, rental agreements, and the identification codes for agricultural land parcels (KAEKs). A notable change is the elimination of the requirement for two printed documents that previously needed to be signed, have a certified signature, and be attached to the application. This move is expected to reduce administrative burdens for farmers.

Furthermore, the AADE is in daily communication with the National Union of Agricultural Cooperatives (ETHEAS) and the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece (GEOTEE) to continuously improve the application submission procedure. Specific adjustments include the replacement of the ELGA's Unified Crop-Livestock Declaration (DKE) with a digital file generated by myAGRO, simplifying the process for declaring insurance contribution payment methods. The declaration of bank accounts for receiving subsidies is also being streamlined, with previously declared and validated IBANs automatically pre-filled.

Regarding rental agreements, the AADE clarifies that manual leases with an annual rent of up to 960 euros do not need to be declared in the current phase on the lease declaration application. These will be registered later in the Property and Real Estate Management Registry (MIDA). Producers who choose to declare them now will not face penalties for late submission, as the process is optional. The AADE also reminds users that handwritten lease agreements do not need to be uploaded to myAGRO. For existing leases registered in the AADE application, no new declaration is needed if the terms remain unchanged. Conversely, manual leases require renewal. In cases of owner death after January 1, 2026, a new lease agreement with the heirs is not required.

Interventions are also being made for discrepancies between land parcel ownership data from the Cadastre and producer declarations in myAGRO. Producers will be able to state reasons for un-updated ownership information in the Cadastre to complete their applications, with the accuracy of the declaration subject to later checks. A similar solution is being developed for KAEKs listed as "unknown owner."
