Guðmundur the hero as Stjarnan takes first-leg lead in Europa Conference League

Guðmundur Baldvin Nökkvason emerged as the hero for Stjarnan, scoring the decisive goal in the 84th minute to secure a 1-0 victory over Finnish side Ilves. The match, played at Stjörnuvöllur, marked the first leg of their Europa Conference League second-round tie.

Nökkvason's goal came from outside the penalty area. After receiving the ball, he took one touch before firing it into the bottom right corner, breaking the deadlock and sending the home crowd into a frenzy. The goal was the culmination of a hard-fought match where chances were scarce.
