Guatemala's Dobladas San Carlos wins Central American futsal tournament

The Dobladas San Carlos club from Guatemala has been crowned champion of the 2026 Uncaf Futsal Champions Club Tournament. The team secured the title by defeating AD San Jacinto of El Salvador with a decisive 3-0 victory in the final match, held in Guatemala City.

The international tournament, organized by the Central American Football Union (Uncaf), convened league champions from across the region for five days of competition. The Guatemalan squad emerged victorious, topping the league standings with nine points and a +7 goal difference. They clinched the title over Sporting FC of Costa Rica, who also finished with nine points but a neutral goal difference, by tiebreaker.

In the decisive game, Dobladas San Carlos took an early lead with a goal from Bryan Santizo in the first half. Pablo González and Jean Carlo Alarcón extended the lead in the second half to seal the win against the Salvadoran team, which finished third in the tournament with six points. The competition followed a round-robin format over five consecutive days, starting July 28.
