The Osun State Police Command has initiated a comprehensive investigation into the shooting of Asimiyu Ajibola, the chairman of the Accord Party in Osogbo Local Government Area. The incident occurred on Wednesday night in the MDS area of Osogbo, where Ajibola was reportedly attacked by two armed individuals on a motorcycle. He sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at the Osun State University Teaching Hospital in Osogbo.

According to a statement released by the command's spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, the attack took place around 9:50 pm.
