Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel captivated audiences during the 2026 World Cup final on July 19, leading a spectacular halftime show. He performed alongside musicians from the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, showcasing Venezuelan talent on a global stage.

The performance was a key component of FIFA's Global Citizen Education Fund, a charitable initiative with the ambitious goal of raising $100 million. This fund aims to ensure that children facing vulnerability gain access to education and sports opportunities worldwide.

Dudamel, a globally renowned maestro, shared the prestigious halftime stage with a lineup of international music icons. These included Coldplay, Madonna, Shakira, Burna Boy, BTS, and Justin Bieber, as well as the PS 22 choir. The event also saw appearances from characters from 'Sesame Street'.

In the stands, a constellation of stars observed the performance, including Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, Rihanna, Timothée Chalamet, and Matt Damon. Prior to the match, the World Cup's closing ceremony featured Post Malone, actor Tom Cruise, singers Robbie Williams and Laura Pausini, and content creator IShowSpeed.
