Gyeonggi Governor-Elect Launches 'Fairness, Innovation, Inclusion' Committee

Choo Mi-ae, the Governor-elect of Gyeonggi Province, has officially launched a preparatory committee to shape her administration's agenda. The committee, titled the 'Fairness, Innovation, Inclusion Gyeonggi Preparatory Committee,' will be instrumental in defining the policy direction and priority tasks for the upcoming 9th term of the provincial government.

During the launch ceremony, Choo Mi-ae articulated her vision, stating, "Fairness is the principle of provincial administration, innovation is the capability of provincial administration, and inclusion is the direction of provincial administration." She stressed that these three values represent the core principles and promises to the citizens for the new Gyeonggi administration.

The preparatory committee will operate within the framework of the Local Autonomy Act, functioning for up to 20 days after the governor's term begins. Its primary role is to translate the governor-elect's aspirations into tangible achievements for the residents. The committee's first plenary meeting has already convened, marking the start of its substantive work. National Assembly member Kim Tae-nyeon has been appointed as the committee's chairperson.
