Gymnast receives proposal after winning gold, during doping control

The proposal took an unusual turn as Hanfelt was undergoing a doping control immediately following the competition. The control officer was present throughout the proposal and even held Hanfelt's new engagement ring while she attempted to provide a urine sample, humorously remarking that she should be invited to the wedding.

Hanfelt described her partner's behavior during the award ceremony as unusually stiff, a stark contrast to his usual energetic presence on the podium. Lénberg admitted to being extremely nervous about the proposal, far more so than about the competition itself.
