Haaland celebrates 300th club goal after Coventry win

Erling Haaland reached 300 senior club goals on Saturday by heading Manchester City to a 1-0 victory over Coventry City at the Etihad Stadium.

The Norwegian striker scored in the 26th minute, meeting a cross from Antoine Semenyo after Enzo Fernandez found Semenyo on his Manchester City debut. The goal proved enough for City to secure their third league win of the season and preserve their perfect start.

Haaland marked the milestone on X after scoring his 165th goal for Manchester City. His club total also includes 20 goals for Molde, 29 for Red Bull Salzburg and 86 for Borussia Dortmund. He reached the landmark in 202 senior club appearances for City.

The forward’s earlier milestones came at a similarly rapid pace. He scored his 100th City goal in September 2024 in his 105th appearance, during a 2-2 Premier League draw with Arsenal. In February 2025, another goal against Arsenal took his senior club total to 250 in 313 appearances.

Haaland scored 52 goals in his first season at City in 2022/23, including a Premier League record 36. He followed with 38 goals in all competitions in 2023/24 and 34 in 2024/25. City said he finished the 2025/26 season with 38 goals in 52 appearances.
