Hadj Moussa set to join Al-Ittihad after accepting Saudi club’s astronomical offer

After a standout season in the Eredivisie, Anis Hadj Moussa appeared destined for one of Europe’s five major leagues. Instead, the 24-year-old Algerian winger is preparing to move to Jeddah and join Al-Ittihad in a deal estimated at 40 million euros, bonuses included.

That figure would make the transfer the most lucrative sale ever completed by Feyenoord. It would also make Hadj Moussa one of the most expensive signings in the Saudi transfer market.

The player initially made no secret of his reservations. The Gulf was not part of his career plans, as he hoped to use his European platform to reach the continent’s elite. The agreement is therefore in place on the price and terms, with one document still required.
