Hajduk fans show big heart: Aid for fire victims before key match

Ahead of a pivotal playoff match, the passionate fanbase of Croatian football club Hajduk Split is demonstrating a significant act of solidarity by organizing a fundraiser for those affected by recent devastating fires.

Torcida, the main fan group, in collaboration with the "Bilo Srce" humanitarian association, has launched an initiative to collect aid for victims of the fires that ravaged Omiš and its surrounding areas last week. The fundraiser will take place before Hajduk's crucial first-leg Conference League playoff match against Polish club Raków, scheduled for Thursday evening at their home stadium, Poljud.

Fans attending the match will have the opportunity to contribute to the cause. Donation boxes will be placed at every entrance to the stadium's stands. The collected funds will be allocated towards two key areas: rebuilding damaged family homes and acquiring much-needed firefighting equipment. This effort highlights the strong community spirit among Hajduk's supporters, who are using the high-profile event to channel support to those in need.

The initiative underscores the deep connection between the club, its fans, and the local community, especially in times of crisis.
