Hamzat, APC chairmen hail Tinubu’s visionary leadership

Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat has lauded President Bola Tinubu's leadership, asserting that many politicians seeking to challenge him in 2027 lack the vision required to transform Nigeria. Hamzat made these remarks while addressing members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Chairmen’s Forum during their visit to key infrastructure projects in Lagos.

Hamzat described Tinubu as an inclusive leader who fosters innovation and welcomes superior ideas regardless of their origin. He emphasized that Tinubu's decisions, such as establishing specialized agencies, reflect an understanding that such institutions can yield better results than conventional ministries. The deputy governor pointed to landmark projects like the rail lines, Lekki Free Trade Zone, Eko Atlantic City, and the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as testaments to Tinubu's foresight.

We are thankful that we have visionary leaders. Many could not see what Asiwaju Tinubu saw years ago.

These infrastructure developments, Hamzat argued, are designed not only to improve transportation but also to industrialize the country and connect its people, thereby promoting commerce, national integration, and sustainable economic growth. He attributed Tinubu's success in attracting both local and foreign investors directly to his visionary leadership and long-term development strategy.

Addressing the APC state chairmen, Hamzat stressed the importance of building the party and urged elected officials to recognize the significance of political parties, drawing lessons from successful global democracies. He called for accountability among leaders at all government levels, reminding them of their ultimate responsibility to the people and to God. Hamzat also noted that Nigeria's potential is often hindered by divisions among its citizens, advocating for leadership driven by service and a commitment to public welfare.
