Hanoi Adjusts Traffic for Overpass Construction on Ring Road 1

Hanoi is moving forward with crucial infrastructure development, with traffic adjustments now underway at the La Thanh - Nguyen Chi Thanh intersection. This measure is essential for the construction of a vital overpass, a key component of the Ring Road 1 project, specifically the Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section.

The adjustments, which will reroute various types of traffic onto temporary roads, are a necessary step to ensure the smooth progress of construction. While such changes can cause temporary inconvenience, they are part of Hanoi's commitment to improving urban mobility and connectivity.

This particular section of Ring Road 1, spanning over 2.2 kilometers, has a significant investment of over 7.2 trillion VND from the city's budget. Although the project was approved in December 2017 with an initial target completion of 2020, it has encountered delays, primarily due to land acquisition challenges. The current traffic adjustments signal a renewed push to overcome these hurdles and bring this important infrastructure closer to completion, ultimately aiming to ease traffic congestion in the capital.
