Hawally Municipality Issues 37 Violations in Advertising Regulations Crackdown

Kuwait Municipality inspectors have enforced advertising and pricing regulations in the Hawally Governorate, issuing 37 violations against shops and commercial establishments. The campaign, conducted by the Audit and Follow-up Department for Municipal Services at the Hawally Municipality branch, aimed to ensure businesses adhered to municipal rules and licensing requirements. During the field inspections, 60 commercial establishments were visited. The violations identified included failure to renew licenses, improper maintenance of advertising signs, displaying promotional advertisements without authorization, and installing advertising boards without obtaining the necessary municipal approval. Mohammad Al-Subaie, director of the department, urged business owners and operators to maintain valid commercial and advertising licenses to avoid legal repercussions. He emphasized that Kuwait's new advertising regulations impose more stringent penalties and higher fines on violators. These measures are intended to curb non-compliance, improve adherence to regulations, and safeguard the public interest.
