The agreement, signed in Washington, aims to revitalize the American shipbuilding sector by leveraging HD Hyundai's extensive experience in design, construction, and operational systems.

This collaboration signifies a major step for HD Hyundai, which recently added "digital engineering and manufacturing platform development and supply" to its business objectives. The company positions comprehensive shipyard construction solutions as a future growth engine. The partnership will involve diagnosing existing shipyards, developing improvement plans, and optimizing yard layouts.

Further cooperation will extend to the adoption of robotic and automated equipment, enhancing cost, process, quality, and productivity. The initiative also includes applying AI and data-driven digital solutions, expanding supply chains, and fostering technical talent in the United States. The agreement was attended by key figures from both companies, including Kim Hyung-kwan, CEO of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, and Patrick Kelly, President of Fraser Industries.
