Health Center Raided for Alleged Illegal Massage Services with Foreign Women

Malaysian immigration authorities have busted a health center in Kuala Terengganu that was allegedly providing body massage services using foreign women. The raid, conducted by the Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM) Terengganu, took place on Jalan Kampung Dalam late last night.

Immigration officers went undercover as customers and confirmed that the premises employed foreign women as masseuses. During the operation, more than 10 local customers were reportedly present, waiting for their turn to receive services. The raid led to the arrest of six foreign women, aged between 20 and 32, comprising four from China and two from Thailand.

All involved women were taken to the Ajil Immigration Detention Depot for further investigation. A local man in his 40s, believed to be the operator of the health center, was also issued a notice to attend JIM Terengganu to assist in the investigation for offenses related to harboring and employing foreign nationals.

According to Mohd. Yusri Mohd. Nor, Director of JIM Terengganu, the arrested women are suspected of violating the Immigration Act 1959/63 and the Immigration Regulations 1963. They allegedly lacked valid passes or permits and contravened the conditions of their existing passes. The women were taken to the Ajil Immigration Detention Depot for further investigation.

In addition to the women, a local man in his 40s, believed to be the operator of the health center, was issued a notice to report to JIM Terengganu to assist in the investigation for allegedly harboring and employing foreign nationals. The operation also involved checks at two restaurants in Kampung Manir and a residence in Kampung Batu Burok, resulting in the detention of 12 out of 76 foreigners for various immigration offenses. Four local residents were also issued notices to explain their actions for suspected illegal employment of foreign nationals.

In total, 76 foreigners were inspected, and 12 of them were detained for suspected various immigration offenses. We also issued four show-cause notices to local citizens suspected of harboring and employing foreigners illegally.
