Heartbreaking detail about Orhan, 13, who drowned in a pool: He had been accepted into science high school after LGS

Tragedy has struck in Mardin's Kızıltepe district, where 13-year-old Orhan Dozen drowned in a swimming pool at a local indoor soccer facility. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening.

Dozen was found motionless in the pool and was rushed to Kızıltepe State Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. His body was handed over to his family after an autopsy and was buried late Tuesday night.

Adding to the heartbreak, it was revealed that Orhan Dozen had recently achieved a significant academic milestone. He had successfully passed the national high school entrance exam (LGS) and secured a place at the prestigious Kızıltepe Science High School, a school he deeply desired to attend.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the drowning has been launched, as the community mourns the loss of a promising young life.
