Heatstroke or heart attack likely cause of death for construction worker on first day

A 35-year-old Moldovan construction worker, Nicu Terletchi, likely died from a heart attack or heatstroke on his very first day of undeclared work in Padua, Italy. The preliminary findings from the autopsy, conducted by medical examiner Antonello Cirnelli, point towards these causes.

Terletchi collapsed on August 4th. Investigators are now focusing on analyzing the mobile phones of the six individuals currently under investigation for aggravated failure to assist. Determining the exact cause and time of death will be crucial in establishing how long Terletchi may have survived after experiencing initial symptoms of illness.

The autopsy, as reported by local publications, has ruled out alcohol consumption. Authorities are also considering the possibility that the six suspects may have attempted to stage the scene to suggest Terletchi was intoxicated.
