Heatwave expected in Slovenia, but less intense than June's record temperatures

Slovenia is bracing for another heatwave, with temperatures expected to reach up to 35 degrees Celsius this week. While hot, the current heat is not anticipated to be as severe as the record-breaking temperatures experienced in June. Meteorologists predict that afternoon thunderstorms will accompany the heat, occurring frequently from Tuesday through the end of the week.

These weather patterns are a cause for concern, as the country is experiencing a high risk of natural fires. The sea temperature remains warm, hovering between 27 and 28 degrees Celsius, which is considered high but not at record levels for July. Meteorologists suggest the sea temperature might rise slightly by Friday.

As it looks, in the coming week, around July 19, there will probably be a week without heat.

A shift in weather is expected by the weekend as a cold front moves through Slovenia. This change is predicted to bring relief from the heat, with temperatures likely to drop significantly in the week following July 19.
