Hervé Renard Back as Côte d’Ivoire Head Coach

Hervé Renard is returning to coach the Côte d’Ivoire national football team, the Elephants, 11 years after leading them to an Africa Cup of Nations title. The French coach's appointment was announced by the Ivorian Football Federation.

This appointment reflects the Federation’s determination to consolidate the achievements made by the senior national team in recent years, while continuing to pursue the ambitions set for Ivorian football on both the African and international stages.

Renard, 57, succeeds Emerse Faé, whose contract ended on July 31. Faé guided the team to the World Cup knockout stages for the first time in their history. Renard has been without a coaching role since departing Tunisia after their group stage exit from a recent tournament.

The Federation stated that Renard's return reflects a commitment to consolidating recent successes and pursuing ambitions on both continental and international stages. He is tasked with preparing the national team for upcoming competitions.

Renard is expected to work closely with the Federation's governing bodies and technical structures.
