Hesse water supplier urges conscious use amid drought and heatwave

Hessenwasser is calling on residents in the German state of Hesse to use drinking water consciously. The supplier cited ongoing dry conditions and high temperatures as reasons for the appeal. Elisabeth Jreisat, managing director of Hessenwasser, stressed the importance of mindful water consumption, especially as many people return to their daily routines after the summer holidays, increasing demand.

"Conscious water use, especially during periods of high consumption and dry spells, is important," Jreisat stated. The goal is to save water resources by avoiding unnecessary consumption. Hessenwasser clarified that the appeal is a precautionary measure and that the drinking water supply is not currently restricted.
