High-octane action at Copa AAAP's sixth round in Paraguay

The sixth round of the Copa AAAP autocross championship, organized by the Asociación de Autocross del Alto Paraná (AAAP) and dedicated to Hugo Ruiz, successfully took place in eastern Paraguay. The event drew significant participation from both competitors and spectators, offering a day filled with high-octane action and skilled driving.

Drivers and crews demonstrated exceptional performance on the specially prepared track. The competition was vibrant from start to finish, solidifying the season's success. Several categories saw intense rivalries and impressive displays of control and speed.

In the Autocross FL category, Jorge Aguinagalde and José Ovelar secured first place, followed by Marcelo López/Joa Ferreira and Tito Prieto/Carlos Vázquez. The Autocross STD class was dominated by Hernán and Diego Galeano, with Lalo Flecha-Ramón Giménez (jr) and Carlos Ginard-Ricardo Aldama completing the podium. Jorge Méndez and Carlin Casco won the Autocross Light class.

Other category winners included Adrián Salinas and Brian Santander in Autos A; Jonatan Salinas and Isaac Irigoyen in Autos B; Gustavo and Édgar Torres in Marcas; and José Gonzalez in ATV Junior. The youth categories also featured strong performances, with César Gayoso winning ATV Infantil 2 and Sergio Gómez taking first in ATV Infanti 1.

The championship continues with its seventh and penultimate round, scheduled for September 26-27 in Ñacunday. This upcoming event will feature a challenging 8-kilometer street stage, promising to be a decisive venue for key championship positions as the season nears its conclusion.
