Highest reported salaries in Slovenia lower than last year, top earner nets 3 million euros

Slovenia's highest reported gross salaries for the tax year 2025 show a slight decrease compared to the previous year. The top earner received a gross income of 3.18 million euros from wages and wage compensations, down from over 3.41 million euros in 2024. This data, based on preliminary tax assessments issued so far, suggests a trend of slightly reduced top-tier earnings.

Despite the overall decrease in the highest salary, the concentration of high earners remains significant. This year, eight individuals within the top ten highest gross salaries surpassed the one million euro mark. The ninth recipient earned just over 973,000 euros, and the tenth earned 864,209 euros. Last year, all individuals in the top ten exceeded one million euros, indicating a marginal shift in the distribution at the very peak.

Officials from the Financial Administration (Furs) caution that these figures are not yet final. The data currently includes only those cases for which the tax assessment or informative calculation for 2025 has already been issued. As more tax returns are processed and finalized, these numbers may be subject to revision. The preliminary nature of the data means that the exact final figures for the highest salaries could differ once all assessments are complete.
