Ho Chi Minh City Hosts Competition for Local Security Forces

Local forces dedicated to maintaining security and order in neighborhoods across Ho Chi Minh City are being celebrated in a new competition.

The final round of the first-ever "Excellent Local Security and Order Force" competition kicked off on June 23 at the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Convention Center. Major General Ta Van Dep, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Police, emphasized the robust development of these grassroots units.

Over the past two years, these forces have proven to be invaluable "extended arms" of the People's Police, serving as a vital link between authorities and the public. They are praised for their proximity to residents, their ability to quickly grasp local situations, and their effectiveness in resolving security issues at the community level before they escalate.
