Hoban Group donates 500 million won to research institute to combat population crisis

The Hoban Group has donated 500 million won (approximately $360,000 USD) to the Future Population Research Institute of the Korean Peninsula. This significant contribution is intended to bolster efforts in tackling South Korea's severe population crisis, characterized by low birth rates and an aging demographic.

The funds, channeled through the Rural Cooperation Fund, will support the institute's research and projects focused on creating a sustainable future society. Key areas of focus include addressing the challenges posed by declining birth rates, an increasingly elderly population, and the growing disparities between urban and rural areas.

The donation ceremony, held on July 21st, was attended by key figures from both organizations, including Hoban Group's Chief Planning Officer Kim Dae-heon and the institute's Chairman Chung Un-chan and President Lee In-sil. This initiative underscores the Hoban Group's commitment to social responsibility and its proactive stance in addressing one of South Korea's most pressing national challenges.
