Hoffenheim Loans Midfielder Tohumcu to Salzburg for One Season

German Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim has announced the loan of midfielder Umut Tohumcu to Austrian club FC Red Bull Salzburg for the upcoming season. This move follows Tohumcu's recent loan spell with Holstein Kiel during the latter half of the previous season.

The 22-year-old midfielder is expected to gain valuable playing experience at a high national and international level during his time in Austria. Hoffenheim's management expressed confidence in this decision, highlighting extensive discussions with Tohumcu about his career development.

Andreas Schicker, the Sporting Director at TSG Hoffenheim, stated that the club and Tohumcu mutually agreed that the loan to Salzburg presents an optimal opportunity for his continued growth. The club emphasized that Tohumcu participated in the entire pre-season training with Hoffenheim, indicating a thorough evaluation before the loan agreement was finalized.
