Homicide in Panama: Suspect in Dolega Killing Remains at Large

A violent incident in Los Anastasios, Dolega, Chiriquí, Panama, has left a man in his 50s dead, with residents pointing to a woman as the primary suspect who is now a fugitive.

According to local accounts, the suspect had allegedly threatened to kill the victim in the days leading up to the incident and had a history of violent behavior within the community. Yajaira Ríos, a resident, expressed the community's distress, stating, "May they catch her wherever they see her, because what happened to him is not fair." She added that the victim had suffered previous aggressions from the same woman.

Neighbors described the victim as a well-loved, hardworking, and humble member of the community, deeply connected to those around him. While the exact circumstances of the death remain officially unconfirmed, residents believe it followed an altercation. They also reported that the woman's alleged violence was not new, and that previous complaints and calls to the police had been made without what they felt was adequate attention.

"We ask the authorities to take more action on the matter," one neighbor urged, referencing the prior reports. Personnel from the National Police and the Public Ministry have arrived at the scene to commence their investigation. As of the latest reports, the main suspect has not been apprehended, and the search for her is ongoing.
