Homicides Drop 80% in San Luis Potosí, Leading Nationally

San Luis Potosí has achieved a dramatic 80.5% reduction in intentional homicides during the first seven months of the year, solidifying its position as a national leader in crime reduction. The state registered only 31 intentional homicides in this period, representing a mere 0.3% of the national total and placing it third among states with the lowest incidence.

State Security Secretary Jesús Juárez Hernández credited the significant decline to a "permanent strategy" that integrates prevention, intelligence gathering, investigation, operational presence, and inter-agency coordination. He also highlighted the unwavering support from Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona for the state's families.
