Honda ZR-V e:HEV Hybrid SUV Begins Pre-Orders in Taiwan

Honda Taiwan has started accepting pre-orders for its upcoming ZR-V e:HEV hybrid crossover SUV, generating anticipation among consumers.

While official details on models, specifications, and pricing remain undisclosed, the vehicle is slated for a market launch following the "Ghost Month" period. Recent sightings of the ZR-V e:HEV in Taipei for advertising shoots have fueled speculation and interest.

The ZR-V e:HEV is positioned between the HR-V and CR-V in Honda's lineup, measuring 4,555mm in length, 1,840mm in width, and 1,620mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,655mm. Exterior highlights include a redesigned grille and 18-inch wheels. The interior boasts a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch central touchscreen, power-adjustable front seats, and an electronic shift-by-wire system.

The core of the ZR-V e:HEV is its 2.0-liter e:HEV hybrid powertrain. The gasoline engine produces 141 horsepower and 18.6 kg-m of torque, while the electric motor delivers a robust 184 horsepower and 32.1 kg-m of torque. Operating with an "electric-primary, gasoline-supplementary" characteristic, the system achieves a remarkable average fuel consumption of 20.4 km/L in Taiwan's testing standards. This figure closely aligns with the 20.5 km/L reported for the all-wheel-drive variant in Japan, suggesting that both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive versions might be offered in Taiwan.
